Nari, October 12 — The Ramle Banggo Students’ Union (RBSU) successfully held its XI General Conference cum Election/Selection for the 2024-2027 term, a significant event marked by enthusiastic participation and a spirit of unity. The conference, held at the BP Auditorium, GHSS, Telam, Lower Siang, witnessed the election and selection of new leadership, with Mr. Goni Kaye elected as President and Mr. Reli Kadu as General Secretary for the 2024-2027 tenure.

The remaining posts were filled as per established guidelines, while a few appointments are reserved for the President’s nomination with guidance from the General Secretary.The event was coordinated under the careful oversight of the Selection/Election Committee, chaired by Shri Kiyom Kakki and supported by Shri Goli Doye, Chief Advisor of RBSU, who served as Vice Chairman.

The committee included respected leaders from the youth and student communities, such as Shri Marto Bam, President of Ramle Banggo Youth Forum (RBYF), Mr. Jumli Kakki, Finance Secretary RBYF, and Mr. Bomjom Kadu, Assistant General Secretary RBSU. Together, they ensured that the election and selection processes were transparent, fair, and respectful of the RBSU’s values.

The conference was graced by prominent figures, highlighting the importance of the RBSU’s work within the Ramle Banggo community. Attendees included RBSU’s Chief Patron, Shri Komkar Nyodu, and Ramle Banggo Welfare Society (RBWS) President Shri Reke Doye, alongside RBWS General Secretary Shri Ige Kadu. Observers from major student unions were also present, with Mr. Mitu Kadu, Assistant General Secretary of the Galo Students’ Union (GSU), representing GSU, and Mr. Mada Kakki of the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) ensuring broader student body representation. Former General Secretary of RBSU, Mr. Chie Doye, also lent his experienced guidance throughout the event.

A Unified Vision for Progress and Leadership Renewal:

The primary agenda of the conference was the strategic renewal of RBSU leadership to foster fresh perspectives and drive initiatives that directly benefit the student community of Ramle Banggo. In his opening remarks, Chief Patron Shri Komkar Nyodu highlighted the importance of student leadership in shaping a brighter future for the region, stressing that RBSU has a critical role to play in advocating for the educational and social welfare of the youth.

RBSU’s outgoing leadership extended their gratitude to members for their support over the past term and expressed confidence in the incoming leadership’s capabilities.Consensus and Collective Representation:The conference brought together branch members from various educational institutions, including the JNC Unit, scholars from Rajiv Gandhi University, and students from high schools and secondary schools across Koyu, Nari, Telam, GHSS, New Seren, and Kora. These representatives voiced their expectations, challenges, and goals, contributing to a collective vision that aligns with RBSU’s mission. Through a series of open discussions and group deliberations, the assembly arrived at a consensus for leadership roles.

Commitment and Vision:In a show of unity, Mr. Goni Kaye was elected as President, and Mr. Reli Kadu as General Secretary for the 2024-2027 term. Both leaders expressed their commitment to upholding the RBSU’s mission and working closely with students and the community. Their priorities include enhancing student welfare programs, strengthening academic support, advocating for improved facilities, and fostering a stronger connection among Ramle Banggo students across institutions. Mr. Kaye emphasized his dedication to inclusivity and student rights, while Mr. Kadu pledged to bring greater visibility to RBSU’s causes.

Looking Ahead: Unfilled Positions and Future Appointments following established guidelines, the President, in consultation with the General Secretary, will soon fill the remaining posts. These appointments are expected to bring a balanced team together, integrating experienced voices with newer perspectives.
